About Golf Solitaire
Golf Solitaire is a quick, strategic patience game: every card is face up, so each deal is a puzzle of planning long runs up and down in rank. Every deal here has been checked by a solver to be winnable.
How to play
Tap the bottom card of any column to move it onto the waste pile if it is one rank higher or lower than the waste card (suits don't matter; no wrapping from King to Ace). Draw from the stock when you're stuck. Clear all seven columns to win.
Tips and strategies
- Look for the longest run you can build before you draw.
- Play from columns that hide the cards you'll need next.
- Save draws: the stock is your only way out when every run ends.
Golf Solitaire strategy guide
Look for long runs. Scan the bottom cards for a chain like 6-7-8-7-6 that you can play in one go, and start with the card that opens the longest chain.
Save the stock. Each draw replaces the waste card for good, so play every card you can from the columns before turning the next one.
Kings are traps: only a Queen can follow a King. Clear a King when a Queen is ready to go on it, and don't leave Kings at the bottom of deep columns late in the game.
